Aloha Referees! Welcome to our Region's Referee Page. Here is where you will find the information needed to become a certified AYSO Referee. Thank you for participating in the lives of Kaneohe's keiki!
ALL VOLUNTEERS ARE REQUIRED TO COMPLETE THE AYSO SAFE HAVEN, CDC CONCUSSION AWARENESS and THE SUDDEN CARDIAC ARREST COURSES. These courses can be found on ETRAINU. Instructions are as follows:
From the AYSO Region 113 Home page, click on My Account > Volunteer > below My Roles and Certificates, click on the AYSOU tab (far right side)
This will open a new window in ETRAINU (https://ayso.learn-usa.etrainu.com/)
Click on Training Library from the column on the left.
Under Course Categories/ Safe Haven, click View Courses.
Click Enroll for AYSO's SafeHaven - Online, CDC Concussion Awareness - Online or Sudden Cardiac Arrest - Online.
Complete all courses and print or save your certificates of completion.
Federal Law requires ALL Volunteers to complete the SafeSport Training.

Follow the same steps listed above to sign up for the in-person course. Click on "Training Event" instead of "Training Library" and search Region 113.
Location: Kaneohe Disrtict Park/Lower Hokulele Field
Prerequisites: Please complete the 8U Official course in ETRAINU/AYSOU for certification.
Please bring water, seating, note-taking material, running attire. Light snacks provided.
This Course will follow the 6U/8U Coach Course. Lunch will be provided for those attending both courses from 10:30-11:00.
How to take the Online 8U Official course:
From the AYSO Region 113 Home page, click on My Account > click on the Volunteer tab > below My roles and Certificates, click on the AYSOU tab (far right side)
This will open a new window to ETRAINU (https://ayso.learn-usa.etrainu.com/).
Click on Training Library from the column on the left.
Under Course Categories/ Refereeing, click on View Courses.
Click and enroll under 8U Official Course - Online. Click Start.
If you happen to walk away from your computer, you can return to the course by by clicking on My Training > View 8U Official Course - Online.
Complete the modules and print or save your certificate of completion.

5. Click on Enroll tab and you are now signed up for the class!
Taking the ONLINE portion of the class prior to June 25, 2023.

DESCRIPTION
This is the in-person companion course intended to be taken by entry-level referee volunteers after they completed the Regional Referee online course. This course will provide referees the additional information, practical training, and experience to help them acquire the confidence to start their referee career in AYSO. This is your opportunity to get your questions answered by an instructor.
This session should take approximately four hours to complete. Good pre-course preparation will keep the session time shorter. The requirements to be certified as a Regional Referee are:
MINIMUM AGE: 12 years old.
Players are encouraged to attend and learn how to Referee.
Also complete the following prior to June 25, 2023:
REGISTER AS AN AYSO VOLUNTEER: completed with the volunteer’s Region for current season/year
SAFE HAVEN CERTIFICATION: completed via the online Safe Haven course
CDC CONCUSSION AWARENESS: completed via the online CDC course
SUDDEN CARDIAC ARREST ONLINE COURSE: completed via the online Cardiac Arrest course
TRAINING: Complete the Regional Referee Online Course
TESTING: Regional Referee Exam provided via the online course

Completion of course will enable volunteers to Center Referee and AR 10U and 12U games and AR upper level age groups. Intermediate Referee certification is required to Center Referee 14U games. Advanced Referee certification is required to Center Referee 16U and up games.
