ALOHA & WELCOME to Kaneohe AYSO Region 113

Aloha and Welcome to Kaneohe AYSO Region 113

Message from the Regional Commissioner

Aloha AYSO Soccer Fans,

This year marks the 44th  Anniversary of AYSO in Kaneohe.  Region 113 was started on January 12, 1976 with about 40 players.  We have over  900 players today. We credit the many hundreds of volunteers who have come out to support and worked hard to make the program what it is today. The world has change since 1976. but AYSO remains an all-volunteer organization and the program is built around the Philosophies that create the basis of who we are.

The Philosophies of: "Everyone Plays", "Good Sportsmanship", "Balanced Teams". "Positive Coaching", "Open Registration" and "Player Development" are as relevant today as when AYSO was initially created in 1964. AYSO has adapted to the changing needs of players and parents and society. Introducing new programs: Adult Soccer, Playground Soccer (4U/5U) and the AYSO United (Club Soccer).  AYSO has banned heading in the 12U and under age groups due to the issues  and concerns of concussion. There is mandatory background checks on all volunteers, to ensure the safety of our volunteers and players.

AYSO has made changes to bring the program to what it is today, but our main focus is still on the kids that participate in the program. What we do is for the benefit of the player, and to ensure they enjoy the game, play in a safe environment, make new friends and most of all while having fun playing soccer!

Our board has been working and will continue to work hard to provide a quality soccer programs and ensure your child has a positive experience.

Thank-you for joining the world's biggest soccer club-"AYSO".

Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns about out programs .

Fall 2020 Registration Updates as of 6/4/2020

Aloha Soccer Ohana,

I hope this message finds you and your family well. As you know, the COVID-19 quarantine has made it difficult to plan for anything, including the AYSO Fall 2020 Season. We know there will be soccer at some point - we just don't know when, and we don't know what it will look like yet.Nothing is more important than the safety of our players, volunteers, and families, and as soon as it is safe to get the kids back out on the field, Kaneohe Region will be ready.

*Fall registration is now open, updates have been completed as of 6/4/2020.

*Scholarships are available.

We won't let the fee get in the way of a kid playing soccer, and with some families being hit harder than usual during this crisis, we have made more room than ever for scholarship help this year. Please do not hesitate to ask for help if the fees pose any financial hardship for your family (e-mail [email protected]). Or, if you happen to be in a position to give, please consider a donation at checkout, as a way to support our scholarship fund.

And as always, we rely on our volunteers to make it all happen. Please consider volunteering as a Coach, Referee, Team Manager, or Board Member . We will contact you later please submit the official volunteer application - for now, to let us know you're interested. The number of kids we bring in from the wait lists will depend on the number of teams we can form, which in turn relies on the number of volunteers that sign up.

We will let you know as soon as we have any further clarity as to what Fall might look like. We are navigating our way through a strange and remarkable period in time, and I hope we find ourselves in a better place on the other side of it.
Until then, we look forward to seeing you all out on the field, as soon as it is safe to do so.
